Game Review | SWITCH | The Adventure Pals

I purchased the indie game "The Adventure Pals" in April 2018 at the US eShop of Nintendo Switch.

This game is a 2D platformer action genre in which a boy and his friends explore the world to rescue a family that was kidnapped by a bad guy on his birthday.

The first impression was familiar to me because it was similar to "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake." So, some expressions were quite ridiculous, and the story unfolded comical even though it was a tragic situation in which the family was kidnapped.

My favorite element in the game was moving from Stage to Stage on the field. Although the content that the player can do in the field is only to find cupcakes and hit the creatures, I was able to feel the concept of every "Five Islands" while roaming the field.

Especially, this game supports 2-player play, so I think it was best to beat creatures while walking around with my wife in a giraffe.

In the stage, I was able to experience battle with monsters, find paths, avoid traps, solve puzzles, and fight with the boss. Overall it was fun, and the difficulty is easy. Therefore, I think it would be perfect for parents and children to play together.

If you are looking for a game that you want to play with someone lightly, I recommend this game. For reference, this game was released not only on Nintendo Switch but also on PC, PS4, and XBOX.
