Game Review | 3DS | The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time 3D

I wanted to play the previous Zelda series before playing one of the masterpieces of the Nintendo Switch, "The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild." Because not long ago I knew only the reputation of the Zelda series. Unfortunately, I have never played any of the series before. So, I wanted to experience a little bit of the history of Zelda.

So, I decided to play "Ocarina of Time 3D (remake)" that boasts 97 meta scores first. To my surprise, the original was released in 1998 (Nintendo 64), And the remake was released in 2011 (3DS).

This game is an action adventure genre in which main character Link goes on adventures that transcend time to save the world from the devil with the fairy Navi.

If I compare this game to the latest games and say some disadvantages, there are two.

First, the level design is not friendly, so it is sometimes hard to find a way.

Second, the precision of control sensitivity is somewhat lacking.

But, Everything else was perfect to me. If anyone plays this game, it will be enough to understand why many people say it is a masterpiece.

I think it's great that this game has been implemented into a 3D open world at that time. Each contents and systems are complementary to the gameplay each other. And, All of these elements are very well placed in the world of Hyrule.

And, I was very interested in the story that Link takes an adventure crossing the present and the future through the Master Sword. Even now, camerawork was excellent in almost every event scene, and the scripts were short and clear. So, I was able to immerse fully in the story.

Especially, I was surprised at the Z-targeting (lock-on system) control. This control complements the disadvantage that the precision of control sensitivity is somewhat lacking.

Even more, It was a great system to increase the tension and immersion in the battle.

It was clear that all of these would have had a great impact on the development of the action adventure genre. So, the Legend of Zelda is definitely one of the legends in the game history. Perhaps this idea will not change in the future.
